Through My Lens: Why I'm Starting This Blog

I’m not a politician. I’m not a professor. I don’t have an advanced degree in political science.
What I do have is a voice, and like every citizen, it matters.

Politics isn’t something that only happens in Washington or on cable news. It shapes our daily lives: what we pay at the grocery store, how our kids are educated, the rights we enjoy (or lose), and the way our communities thrive or struggle. And yet, too often, the conversation is dominated by pundits, party insiders, and people far removed from the realities most of us live every day.

That’s why I’m starting this blog, to offer one citizen’s lens on power, policy, and people.

Here, you’ll find my thoughts on the issues that affect us all. Sometimes they’ll be passionate, sometimes questioning, and sometimes simply an attempt to make sense of it all. I won’t pretend to have all the answers. What I will offer is honesty, perspective, and a willingness to sit with hard questions rather than rush past them.

Maybe you’ll agree with me. Perhaps you won’t. That’s okay. I hope that this space becomes a place where ordinary voices feel seen, where ideas can be challenged respectfully, and where we can step back from the noise long enough to think about what really matters.
